As of August 2019, ECI requires all US candidates, who did not already possess an ECI certification, must take the Rules and Regulations and Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct examination (Part A Exam). This exam is open book, open note and consists of two (2) parts:
Part 1 covers U.S. Rules and Regulations and has ten (10) questions.
Part 2 covers the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and has ten (10) questions.
You will be asked to consider a series of ethical and professional conduct scenarios. Please read each question carefully. It is important to understand the role of each participant in the scenario and if an ethical standard or rule is applicable to that participant. These scenarios are completely fictional and based on the ECI Code of Ethics, there is an objective answer that provides the most
correct answer.
All questions are multiple choice. Choose the best answer for each question. The Part A Exam Resource and Study Guide will be available for your use during this exam.
You must pass each part of the examination with a weighted score of 80% to be eligible to sit for the Professional Certification Examination.
